Chemical biology
Chemists working at the interface with biology or medicine in the BSRC study, synthesise and modify the small molecules that influence protein function. Using high-throughput techniques and the analysis of bioactive natural products, they develop compounds of medicinal value and gain insights into the mechanism of action of drug molecules.
